Academia 2024
Chairwoman Naureen S. Raja, MD
Dear APPNA-Michigan Chapter 2024 Physician Members,
My name is Naureen Shamsher Raja, MD. I am an Internal Medicine faculty member and clinical instructor at the University of Michigan. I completed medical school education at the University of Toledo in Toledo, OH. I completed my internal medicine residency at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, OH. I have done both hospital in-patient service and clinical medicine in Massachusetts, Ohio, and Michigan. I joined the University of Michigan in 2023. I serve my patients as a primary care physician.
Under the new program of APPNA- Michigan Chapter 2024 Academic Physician Engagement Initiative, I look forward to serving our APPNA-Michigan Chapter Physician Members as Chairwomen of the Academic Services Department. It’s my goal to bring together a team of talented Pakistani Attending Physicians to show genuine support and mentorship guidance to our new generation of young medical students and residents. We will take a consultative and actionable approach to overcome social, religious, and cultural biases to make them more cohesive and confident in whatever they want to achieve. We will also be introducing AMA Category-1 CME and a Journal Club. For these programs to be successful, every Pakistani Physician in the great State of Michigan must become a physician member. This initiative will make our Physician Community stronger. Keep reaching for the stars.
Thank you and best regards,
Naureen S. Raja, MD,
Internal Medicine, Faculty, University of Michigan
